100 WC week# 27

The Grand Prix

I was on my way to work on an ordinary Wednesday, wearing my 'staff' T-shirt over my old sweatshirt. This morning I decided to walk to the barn. Once I got to the stables I noticed it was to busy to be an 'ordinary Wednesday'. IT WAS THE DAY BEFORE THE GRAND PRIX! My fellow equestrians ran from the stables to the arena, some carrying bridles or leading horses. Although they ran quickly, they still were not making enough progress, they would be late! Panicking, I looked at my watch, 5:30 AM? Loud ringing stung me ears as I woke up late for work.

100 WC week # 22

Well, the fish is ok...
Jupiter, my cat was trying to jump on to my desk to get my goldfish Hamilton. Slowly he backed up then flew into the air, instead of landing safely on my desk he crashed into the ladder leading up to my loft bed. Screaming, I ran to him, he was ok. At that second my baby brother started screaming. As I hall to the nursery  I stepped on a brown lump...
It was Jupiter.

100 WC week# 21

People
One day me and my group of friends were doing some yoga out in the woods, when we saw a group of trees but some of them were peach coloured. Some even had this hay coming out of their heads. After they stared at us for a minute they screamed and ran away. I looked around at my fellow trees and we resumed our yoga.

Living In The Gutters

"Well miss it looks like it came down the drain pipe."
"How did it get on the roof?"
"I'm not sure, maybe in the house and out the window."
"So your saying I wouldn't notice toddlers in my home?"
"Well yes miss, all the evidence says so. Now, we have to go we got another call." I glared at that police officer as his car started flashing and wailing. As he left I turned to go back into the house.
"Oh, you noticed us..." Whispered the little boy in the front,
"You noticed all of us!" They shrieked...

100WC week #17

  Presentation
Sometimes the only thing you can think of before you present a project to your class, is how horribly you will do. So, when I stood in front of my judgemental grade five class to talk about the German Red Snake, I froze. After 53 seconds my teacher said:
"Jordan, are you okay?" I snapped out of my daze and stood there mumbling my presentation. I spoke about how the snakes cycled through different colours to blend in and hide, something I wish I could do right now. All of a sudden, I woke up, the tick of the clock calmed me enough to drift back to sleep.

100 WC week #13

Tigers and Lions and Bears, Oh My
Just another day at work, it was exactly 9:53 AM, soon I would have to go feed the lions. At 9:54 I left the gift shop. There were already tons of people crowded around the lion habitat, lots of them with the 'ZOO CREW' hats on. Ugh tourists, but I still forced my mouth in to a fake smile. I glanced over at the tiger enclosure, there was a little boy in there and a woman on the outside screaming:
"Ben come here, Ben!" I hopped over the fence, picked up the boy, and sprinted back to the fence but the tiger was blocking our escape...

100 WC week #12

I was staring at my plain sandwich. Suddenly my usually energetic little brother Tony came shuffling into the kitchen, clutching on to his robot,
"Hey little dude!" I said, trying to cheer him up,
"... My robot needs a new battery, but I cant find any..." He mumbled,
"Hang on," I instructed. As I hurried down to my Dad's office, stumbling down the stairs, I caught a glimpse of something dripping from the ceiling, it was red...
"TONY!" I shrieked... Panting I made it to the kitchen, there Tony was, head on the table, body on the floor...

100 WC week #11

                             Running away
Tripping over our untied shoes, Claire and I were sprinting through the thick forest. Panting, we made it to a clearing with a little pond.
"What's that?" Claire asked
"I don't know..."
"Lets go see!"
"NO!" I screamed, "have you ever seen a horror movie! Curiosity KILLS!"
"Ok, ok, we won't go!" Suddenly the forest went dark, and when the light came back again there was a tall hooded figure standing there. Claire kicked it.
"Aw darn, its just a statue!"

100 WC week 10

                                     Bugs
At that second I knew we were going to be in  in trouble.
"But where will we hide it all?!" My little sister screamed.
"Hide what?" My Mom asked from behind the door, in response I said,
"Nothing, nothing at all bye!" And with that I locked the door in one quick motion. I didn't notice that they had already slid under the door and were gone. I didn't know what to do, those little green slimy fart heads! Then I woke up...

100 WC week #9

                         What Only I See

They don't know their dead. They just walk around like normal people. I've lost 6 psychologists by telling them what I can see. The second I say that I see dead people they give up. Last night I was walking around the town and there were so many of them, just walking around. Lots of them with bloody bullet holes some where on their body ( or half body with some limbs torn of ). I get tight all over when they get mad, suddenly my body tightened all over. Then I turned around, and got shot in the head by my grandma

100 WC week #8

Halloween

I was blankly staring at my little carrot swimming in the pool of ranch dressing on my white plate when my dad shouted:
"Tomorrow is Halloween Lola!" I looked up at him, "Lets go decorate!" He continued. About 5 hours later I went outside to see what was taking him so long. Then I saw him laying there on the well kept lawn , with a flame crawling up his arm. I could see the white bone through his open arm. After that we never celebrated Halloween ever again...

100 WC week #7

                               The Mansion
As the door slammed, I knew I would never see a Milo again. And I hated that she was going to be killed by being crushed by its tentacles. I could hear her muffled screams from behind the huge, slimy oak doors. I looked across the room and saw Milo's ripped and blood covered backpack laying on the marble floors of the mansion. I looked down at my leg and saw a shard of broken glass in my bleeding thigh. I didn't notice that every thing was silent. Then BAM! Everything went black...

100 WC week #6

                                                         The Pond

I froze, my heart stopped, Ben kept walking.
"Come on Lilliana-" he stopped, now I knew I wasnt dreaming. In the debris filled pond we saw a pair of legs with two size 7 rubber boots on them sticking straight up into the cold winter air. And then I woke up,
"Lilliana, Lilliana, you fainted we have to do something about this!" I leaped into the water to save him, he was dead, or so I thought... He sprung out of the water, grabbed me by the hair and held me under till I died.

100 WC week 5

 My Most Treasured Item

Ive had him for as long as I can remember, I could never replace him.
He sits on my bed and I hold him close when I sleep.
I twist his old tangled fur in my fingers.
His mouth, stitched in with brown thread always looks at me with a sweet smile.
His little black eyes twinkle in the light.
He is stained but I am worried to wash him for the fear of damage.
He is a bear yet he is harmless.

100 W.C. Week #3

                                   Creatures

I walked into class, and dropped my books on a desk near the back. 'Professor McLangunchowdner' was printed in perfect cursive at the top right corner of the board. Then a tall slim lady walked in,
"Hello!" she sang out,"I know my name is difficult to say so call me Ms. M!" Her hair was twisted back and tied with a purple ribbon. She wore a short purple dress to match. As she spun around to write on the chalkboard, I saw a piece of peeled back skin that revealed a layer of crocodile flesh...

100 Word Challenge Week #2

              Shattered

All I could hear was Alia's screaming as we dropped to the ground. Finally we hit the ground with a thud. It was extraordinary our light bulb didn't even crack, then we saw the carton of beads coming straight for us. We couldn't escape its path. It landed right on top of us and split open on the hard concrete ground. I woke up to shattered glass and beads every where. But Alia was now where to be found. I saw a pool of red.
"ALIA!" I screamed in horror, there she was, sitting there
dead...
